ARTIST STATEMENT:
"I live in an area connected to the Sugar River. Badger Mill Creek runs through Verona, Wisconsin and empties into the Sugar River nearby.
"The Deep Blue Stream" depicts the Badger Mill Creek. One winter day the sky reflected in the water was so deeply blue that it begged to be painted. Great blue herons live on or near this creek. I always count it as a lucky day when I see one of the Great Blues wading along the creek or flying overhead."
